About Curious Mauritius

Located just opposite the 7 Coloured Earth entrance in the Chamarel village, is a house filled with a variety of astounding delusional fantasies - Curious Mauritius. Perched on a winding hilly road in the west of the island, with an imposing façade, this place will pique your curiosity.

Constructed passionately by a team of thrilling professionals, with the main aim to surprise their visitors, curious minds with mythical thoughts. Curious Mauritius is surely out to surprise you in every sense of the way, with just under 40 exhibits set over the 5,000sq metres.

As soon as you walk in, you and your brain are both physically challenged with the conundrums and artefacts, set to get your straightforward thinking shaken.

Curious Mauritius is a house of fun-packed illusions with adventures to be enjoyed with friends and families, which are set out for your entertainment or even frustration.

It is a fascinating, fun and social excursion into the wonderful world of optical illusions, which will leave you quite literally not believing your eyes!

Curious Mauritius Attractions and illusions:

• Mirror Maze

Mirror mazes are challenging adventures for the body and mind.

By surrounding your pathways with mirrors, you see infinite reflections, impossible corridors and mind-bending light effects. The 200 mirrors will just enable you to find your way in and out of the maze!

• The Ames room

The Ames room appears to be a cubic room where 2 people standing in the same room appear much bigger or smaller than the other one.

A picture moment with your partner to show who is really the bigger one, literally!

• The upside-down room

Has the thought of living upside down ever crossed your mind? Then, this is the place for your thoughts to put into practice, of how you can defy gravity and Newton’s law for that matter. You may even end up saying it could all just be a myth.

Just don’t let Newton hear you saying that!

• The Laser music room

Who does not want to be the next maestro or Bon Jovi, for that matter? Try out your musical aspirations whilst playing your favourite jingle with the laser beams.

You might surprise yourself and others with how tunefully good or bad you are!

• There are no age restrictions or height restrictions for the visit.
